Game rules

Last updated: 14 October 2026 · apply in all regions, layers and game modes – during the beta as well

These rules make sure every Keeper can play fairly. They supplement the terms of use and are just as binding. For data protection reasons we discuss matters concerning an account only with its owner. Not sure whether something is allowed? Ask us first via the contact form. This English version is a translation; if in doubt, the German version applies.

1. Accounts

An account belongs to the person who created it and who holds its password and recovery code. It is played exclusively by that person. Within your account you may have up to four characters – together they count as one player.

2. One account per person

3. Sharing, giving away, selling

4. Fight fair

5. Trade, market and pushing

Trading is part of Echolon. Allowed are swaps, market prices set by supply and demand (high ones too), small gifts between friends and helping newcomers. What is forbidden is gaining an unfair advantage at the expense of others or through other accounts (“pushing”):

Unsure about a big trade? Ask first via the contact form.

6. Bugs, bots and cheat software

7. Conduct and chat

8. Names

Account, character and guild names as well as guild tags must not be insulting, discriminatory, sexual or extremist, must not imitate real people, must not take over names of other games or brands and must not look like team, admin, system or server. We block accounts with inappropriate names; you can suggest a new name via the contact form.

9. Threats and personal data

10. Language

Echolon is available in German and English, and everyone plays in the same world. In layer and world chat, write in German or English so that as many players as possible can follow; a short greeting in another language is of course fine. In whisper, group and guild chat any language is allowed.

11. The Echolon team

Messages from the team appear in chat as system messages marked “[Server]”. Pretending to be the team, an admin or a moderator is forbidden. The team never asks for your password or recovery code.
